Mistakes happen. All to quickly an accident hits and if we are lucky we sort out the mess later. Better to be safe than sorry - more than that, it's nice knowing you could save a childs life by donating a car seat.
As part of an ongoing commitment towards road safety, the SA Guild of Motoring Journalists (SAGMJ) supports the Wheel Well's Car Seats for Kids campaign.
They source and provide baby car seats for parents who cannot afford it and they create awareness about the risks of carrying an unsecured child in a car.
For transport month they are heading for a Month of Amazing and will be collecting kid’s seats in the Cape at the points listed below. Renault, Hyundai and Kia are also on board as drop off points for car seats during the campaign – nationwide!
Please assist by spreading the news far and wide. As journalists and companies in the motoring industry, you are ideally placed to assist in making this campaign a huge success.
The roster of where Wheel Well's Car Seats for Kids will be collecting kid’s seats are:
They need all the support they can muster to make a success of this. So if you have an old child seat lying around donate it! Donald Grant, Minister of Public Works and Transport has donated a child seat and as of today 78 seats have been collected so far, not bad going after only two days.
