Dita Von Teese has revealed the first look of her Von Follies Lingerie Line, which goes on sale in 2012. Inspired by the American burlesque dancer’s penchant for vintage underwear, the line will go on sale exclusively at Australia’s department store Target in February. The collection, which includes high-waisted briefs, garter belts and fitted corselettes, is expected to subsequently go global.

Von Teese explained that it was important to make the collection accessible to women regardless of their dress size. It features briefs up to Australian size 20 (European 46) and bras up to Australian cup size E (European F).

Von Teese also said that it was important to her to develop a lingerie line that will make women of all sizes and shapes to feel and look sexy.

“Size range was one of the first things I asked when I was approached to create this collection. It was important to me to accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous.”

According to the Hindustan Times, this isn’t Dita Von Teese’s first foray into the world of commercial lingerie. She teamed up with Wonderbra in 2008 to create two lingerie lines.
