Well applied blusher will define and sculpt your cheeks, make you look younger and give you a natural-looking flush.

Find out how to apply blusher properly with our Beauty Ed’s advice.

How to have fantastic cheekbones: While many of us avoid blush because we’re afraid it’ll make us look clown-like, make-up artists swear by it as it helps to re-sculpt the face, when gravity would place our features elsewhere.

For natural-looking flush, use a big, fluffy brush to dust a pinky tone onto the apples of cheeks, then shape the contours with light-reflecting bronzer (too matte and it will look like dirty stripes.)

Use a brush to sweep a glow on to cheekbones, forehead and brow bones – places that colour in the sun. Don’t forget the décolletage and neck.

Try MAC Well Dressed Powder Blush, R245.
