“Daphne is one of – if not the – most stylish women living,” says fashion designer Tom Ford, who asked her to model in his show. The world has many beautiful, fashionable socialites and celebrities, but Daphne is in a class of her own. “Life is a stage for Daphne,” says the couturier Valentino. “Funerals or balls, she always makes a performance.”

She is an heiress, socialite, muse and mother and has been a fashion stylist, film producer, designer and perfumer. Daphne Guinness is known for her love of couture and flamboyant personal style.

Guinness is well known in the fashion world as a journalist and collector of haute couture. She has an interest in the use of armour in fashion.

In 2006 she approached her great friend Shaun Leane to create a gold and diamond arm glove. Named 'Contra Mundum' or 'Against The World', this handcrafted, intricately made object took five years to create and is perhaps one of the most technically advanced pieces in the world.

Daphne Guinness has long been one fearless fashionista. She states that "“Whatever I do seems to have this unconventional twist. There has to be an element of chaos—I don’t like things that are too perfect.”
