Main Collection: Spring / Summer 2015

Ben Sherman’s DNA and British idiosyncrasies are explored and reimagined throughout the brand’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, which has been inspired by a very British spectrum of influences from the unique relationship Britons have with the weather to the brand’s DNA infused elements.

The collection opens with a Circular Geo trend, inspired by taking the brand’s traditional polka dot and exploding it out into circular geometric patterns which feature as all over prints on t-shirts, pin dot patterns on knitted jacquard pique polo shirts and a seasonal update of the brand’s statement button print shirt. The colour palette inspired by the Circular Geo trend is ‘Optical Blues’, featuring blue depths and petrol blue tones, alongside a vibrant yellow colour pop.

His British Weather trend embraces seasonal elements including hand drawn umbrella and cloud prints. Clouds also feature on the full digital print hero shirt and iconic holdall depicting Brighton Pier complete with thunderclouds rolling above the landmark synonymous with the brand. To combat the elements, the brand is introducing a new hooded button through mac in water repellent weather cloth fabric, as well as a rubberized waterproof parka. The emphasis on nature runs through into the colour palette, which is titled ‘Forest Mist’ and includes elements of forest green contrasted with rich, deep orange tones.

A Heritage of Modernism

Ben Sherman’s Spring/Summer collection has been inspired by a new twist on British checks and a Berry colour palette utilising rich burgundy and berry tones, which are balanced with a monochromatic colour palette featuring dark blue and black. The classic check is reimagined through an exploration of size, scale and texture. Key highlights within this collection include shirts with gingham checks printed over a check design; felted knitwear with tone on tone textures and the House Gingham Duffle Coat.

Ben Sherman’s Denim and EC1 ranges remain at the heart of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection with new fits introduced in both denim and chinos. The new True Skinny denim fit is an update on the brand’s existing Dingley fit and is available in several washes. The Skinny chino provides a modern, streamlined update to a wardrobe staple.
