It all began with ACQUA di Gioia:

At first a single fragrance, ACQUA di Gioia is full of grace and radiance, a wonder dedicated to being yourself, reconnecting with your true nature. This fresh Eau de Parfum in a sea-green bottle, unveils power and tenacity. Supremely facetted, the top notes blend crushed mint and fruit, which quickly intensifies through juicy pear and tropical fruit notes, then a transparent floral heart built upon a “petaled” water jasmine followed by an amber woody base (adding ample character) paired with a “brown sugar” accord, a caramelized-light and luscious note.

The perfumer trio of Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Loc Dong (IFF) sought to create “an original addiction, an addiction rising entirely from freshness,” one that makes this fragrance more than a passing summer fancy.
