Leading, international fashion footwear and accessories brand, ALDO partnered with local label, Suzaan Heyns at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which was the highlight for me of MBFZ 2015. The show, which took place at Melrose Arch on Saturday 07 March, showcased styles from the ALDO AW15 range and the Suzaan Heyns A/W 2015 Collection.

 

Self-defined as a ‘Johannesburg based South African luxury label’, Suzaan Heyns was launched in 2008 and is today considered one of the country’s most prominent contemporary designers. A celebrated brand in the local fashion industry and a seasoned fashion week participant, Suzaan Heyns the designer, has won numerous accolades and has been published both locally and internationally.

 

The Suzaan Heyns A/W 2015 Collection, entitled ‘The Wanton’ drew inspiration from Robert Graves’ poem, Down, Wanton Down! Suzaan Heyns explored tragic opulence through the indulgent use of luxurious fabrication in a contradictory collection.

Suzaan Heyns selected ALDO as the fashion footwear partner for her A/W 2015 Collection, stating “Aldo’s new collection is a perfect pair for this show because it depicts a certain seductive confidence. I loved the strong edginess of the boots paired with luxurious fabrications”.
