What a grand finish to a fantastic week of African Fashion. Mr Tlale burst onto the runway scene with a beautifully strange and diverse collection, drawing audience’s eyes not only to the eclectic ensembles, but the models wearing them. You almost receive a zombie- like vibe from the models with their exquisite make-up artistry and their cute vacant expressions – but they mean nothing but business – sporting some of Tlale’s best. Plenty of luxe fabrics used including chiffons, silks and georgettes, along with plenty of heavy sequinned pieces, some pleating and fabric beading.
-Absolutely loving Tlale’s strong use of fabric techniques on each garment plus his intricate detailing (note the flesh coloured Cardis) . The colour palette (a definite favourite for the week) ranged from greys, stones and lime greens to soft peach and lemon yellow. Every piece was entertaining to the eye, with maxis, detailed necklines and male skirts proving the most noticeable trends for the night.-via:hautefashionafrica.com
