I often look back at all the great people that once were. Their wisdom inspiring those who took the time to listen. They come from all walks of life: a politician; a nurse; a carpenter's son; an artist; a poet; and an uneducated daughter...these are just some that have been documented and only a fraction of what I stumbled upon.
Since the beginning of time there have been great truths spoken, and this made me think.
"Where are the sages of our generation?".
Is the universe fed up with the spoilt children we have become? This type of thinking contradicts everything I believe in, because the captain of my universe creates with light, and in the presence of light darkness cannot exist. After some deliberation I came to this conclusion:
There is the potential in everyone I meet, to carry the key to a truth that I am looking for. Does this then not make sages of us all?
“I walk amongst people that come my way,
My attention on my thoughts and the rest of my day,
In my heart lies a yearning with someone to connect,
I hear a voice somewhere deep inside,
Whispering, there is more behind their eyes,
And without hesitation and great surprise,
I see a King in a pauper,
A sage in a stranger,
And Love... transforms hatred for my neighbour”.
