Secret Encounter: New Moon Ball by 68 encounters

The invitation:
Date: 28th October 2011, time: 20h00 for dinner and 22h30 for the after party
Dress: Vampire, Gothic, Victorian, ball gown
Venue: 54 Queen Victoria Str, Gardens. (Cnr Green Str. Opp. Company Gardens
Number of guests: 40

Venue: On arrival the guests were welcomed by the Butler, were given a glass of wine and announced into the Ball Room over the microphone. Each couple gave their chosen name for the evening according to their outfit.

The Staff: The Butler (who announced everybody), Vampire French Maid was the waitress. 2 human statues lay on the counter holding candles at the entrance. Bar tenders were dressed in black looking like ghosts.

Entertainment: Dj Pierre played the music, Little Michael Jackson (12yr old) made his performance.. and a few other creatures from the night made an appearance to see who was at the banquet table… all feasting!!

The guests: Counts, Witches, Lady Gaga and even maggot made an appearance.

Crusty artisanal breads served with butter

Hot smoked Norwegian salmon with a dill and lemon crust, served on boards with home made lemon aioli, fresh watercress, caper berries and lemon wedges

A fresh green salad with blanched asparagus, avocado, goat’s cheese and toasted sesame seeds

Roasted beetroot, butternut and orange salad with creamy feta, griddled onion and a sweet honey and mustard dressing

Gently poached chicken, tossed in a lightly curried yoghurt dressing with toasted almonds and fresh coriander.

A nutty brown rice salad with fresh vegetables and parsley

Decadent dark chocolate brownies with a ganache topping and fresh strawberries
